SRXN3205 remote access for administration

I would like to be able to access the router remotely for administration purposes. As I run a website from this location, I have ports 20 and 443 forwarded the LAN IP address of the server.

I thought that if I set up a service on port 4430 and forwarded it to the IP address of the router that I would get the router login page. Instead, I get the error "Can't connect to server".

Can anyone help me sort this out so that I can gain access remotely to the router.

Many Thanks

Paul

  • I solved it.

I added a TCP service for port 4430 and then created an Inbound rule which forwarded that port to my router LAN IP address on port 443. I can now login remotely from my browser with:

Have you been through the steps laid out in the manual?

There is a manual for the SRXN3205 somewhere at the end of this link:

    >>>> SRXN3205 | Product | Support | NETGEAR <<<<

    See pages 9-9, 1-5, 2-15 etc.

Maybe you have done all this. It isn't clear from your message.
