which switch to pick?
Hello, I need a suggestion as which switches to pick without breaking the bank. I need to be able to interconnect 2x 48 ports switch (no POE) and come in with two different 1Gbs ethernet cable in the "stack" it can be an "active active" link or "active passive" I can accomodate this. but if one of the two lines goes down I need the other line to take over. I need to be able to connect a server in switch 1 and switch 2 without creating a loop in the network. So I suppose I need STP maybe? not sure which switch can do this? Do you have a model to suggest? much appreciated.

I am confused by what you mean by this: "..in the "stack" it can be an "active active" link or "active passive"..." What specific technical or networking term are you referring to?
However, if ever you need Layer 2 Stackable Switch, you may check the GS752TS on this link. Also, if ever you need a Layer 3 Stackable Switch. you may check the M5300-52G on this link.
