Can I see the ip address of devices connected to my GS308E switch?

Hi,   I'm new to networking.  I was just trying to find the ip address of a Raspberry Pi 5 by connecting it to my GS308E switch, but I cannot see a table of address' on the web browser management p...

Hi Crumbs808,

 

Have you tried checking the IP address using the terminal from your Raspberry Pi 5? 

 

eg. hostname -I

    Hi,

     

    Thanks for the suggestion.  I haven't been able to try that because I don't have a keyboard.  I'm working away from home for a while and onlu have my laptop.  I will get to use a keyboard within a day or so and I'm sure this method will work.

     

    I was surprised to learn that the switch I have doesn't show connected ip adresses.  I'm only just starting to learn about networking though.

      We can refer to the information shared by schumaku regarding what this switch can and does not do. I am pretty sure you can get the IP information of your device via Terminal just update this thread so we can know.
