Can't disable STP from LAG on GS752TP
Hi everyone,
I want to configure a LAG between a gs752tp and a JGS524Ev2 in this discussion it was pointed out that the STP has to be disabled on the lag to not create a storm.

While it's a little bit odd that STP can't be disabled on that LAG (looks like a UI bug) - I'm doing hard to understand on how the STP BPDU should cause havoc on the network. Probability? Very near to zero.
Double check your network patches configured as static LAG are on the correct ports as configured to be LAG members. Then there won't be any loops.

I don't think this is STP related - much more they had incompatible LAG types configured on both ends (LACP vs. static) - STP doesn't lead to a loop IMHO.

So I have disabled the STP on the ports used for the LAG on the GS752TP but I can't disable it for the LAG itself. I click disable apply and it stays enabled. Any idea ?
You might have to take the LAG down (admin disable) before changes can be applied, after the change, the put it up (admin enabled) again.

Hi schumaku,
For some reason my reply didn't go trought.
I did try the LAG and it did kill my network has stated in the other tread.
I probably tried everything to get the STP Disabled on the LAG including ( change ports, disable admin, try another borwser even, LCAP instead ) Nothing works that seems to be a bug. I also updated to the latest firmware and still can't changes.
Thanks for the help.
Cheers

I reconnected the LAG and it seems to work now. The only difference between now and ealier is that the STP is disabled on the GS752TP ports.
Too bad I can't reenable it and test since I'm on the production network.
Thanks for the help.
