Does GS316EPP SFP port support 2.5G?
Got two of the GS316EPP and was hoping to connect them together with a 2.5G SFP transceiver using cat6 ethernet (less that 30m apart). Got a pair of SFP2.5G transceivers and they don't work. Making me thing that perhaps this model doesn't support it. Anyone know for sure? (The green light didn't come on when they were plugged in.. I assume that is a sign the transceiver is not supported).

Both the GS316EP and GS316EPP models are - including the SFP ports - pure Gigabit-Ethernet only devices.
Only these SFP modules are supported:
AGM731F SFP Transceiver 1000BASE-SX (Short range, multimode)
AGM732F SFP Transceiver 1000BASE-LX (Long range, single mode)
AGM734-10000S SFP Transceiver 1000BASE-T Copper RJ45 GBICSo your initial assumptions are correct.
