Dummy switch connected to smart switches LLDP

I'm going to have a non Netgear dummy switch connected to a Netgear smart switch which will containg LLDP for VoIP.  If I connect a VoIP phone to the dummy switch, would it get the LLDP from the smart switch?

  • Of course not. Re-think what LLDP does mean ... Link Layer ... the link - that's where the cable or fiber is directly connected to, that's the thing between two ports.

Do they make any 5 port managed LLDP switches?  I don't have the need for a 16 or 24 port switch.
