My IT department worked with me - I have a data cable from the wi-fi router to the switch and then one out of the switch to my phone. If I plug the cord into my computer instead of my phone, I get nothing. If I come straight out of the router to my computer, I connect just fine.

It might be possible that the port where the IP phone is connected is set as a tagged port. Kindly check the settings of the GC108P.
Are you still able to login to the web-GUI of the GC108P? If yes, what is the current firmware version of it?
