GS105Ev2 Bootloader version
My switch is running the current firmware, but I'm not sure what the latest bootloader is?

I inquired your concern to the NETGEAR Engineering Team and got a feedback today. As per the NETGEAR Engineering Team, both of the 1.4.0.5 and 1.4.0.5-VB are the latest version of boot loaders for the GS105Ev2 switch.
VB means the chip version used on the main chip of the switch. The 1.4.0.5 boot loader is for the GS105Ev2 switch that uses a non-VB chip. When the non-VB chips was EoL (End-of-Life), the VB chips are now used. Then, the 1.4.0.5 boot loader is now labeled 1.4.0.5-VB for the GS105Ev2 switch that uses the VB chip.
In conclusion, you have the latest version of bootloader which is 1.4.0.5-VB.
