gs108t v3 - impossible to register - no limited access mode

I have just bought this secondhand. It makes me register and so I did. Netgear send me confirmation email to confirm this.

However user and pass is not accepted. I have tried this with both firefox and chromium browsers. The switch is connected to my router and so to the internet.

I try the onetime pass functionality. This is sent correctly to my email address - but that also fails to be accepted

Reset/factory reset does not solve the issue. I see there is supposed to be a limited access mode. How can I access this please?

Try a factory reset on the switch with out it connected to anything. Just the switch and one wired PC. Set a static IP address on the PC to match 192.168.0.x so try 192.168.0.49 and SNM at 255.255.255.0. You should be able to access the switches web page at the default IP address of 192.168.0.239. Use the default log in credentials here to get in. Password for default is password.

Can try the discovery tool app as well:

A little bit thin on information provided.

The unlucky limited access mode was removed with subsequent firmware updates a long time ago. Following the factory reset, the default admin and password are in place again, allowing to access the switch to some restricted features - including the firmware update. The registration is obsolete, because the same serial can be registered only once, and was probably done by the original owner, and you can't re-register the device to a new (different owner) account.

What is the effective problem not allowing you to access the switch WebUI please?
