GS305EP. Assign a port to a VLAN
I have a working Router Mikrotik) where my VLANs are defined and handled. I have a VLAN for security (60), and I can wirelessly connect to this, and get an IP address from the security IP pool. I have a GS305EP which connects to my main router through port 1. I'll be connecting a security camera to port 3. I need to assign all the port 3 traffic to VLAN 60. I studied the 802.1Q section of the user's manual extensively, and I've tried every combination available on the web configuration interface. But when I hook my laptop up to port 3, I can't get an IP from the selected VLAN address pool. I've assumed that after creating the VLAN, I need to add ports 1 and 3 to it, change port 3 PVID to 60, I set port 3 as untagged, and port 1 as tagged, but still no luck. All I want to do is send all traffic from port 3, out of port 1 with the VLAN tag 60 added. I have VLAN experience with Mikrotik, but none with Netgear. Any help or guidance will be much appreciated.
Thanks and Regards,
Dave
