GS308EP: System Time?
Hello, According to the User Manual, I should be able to set System Time as well as configure a PoE schedule. I am not seeing that "SYSTEM TIME" section anywhere on my GS308EP, running the ...
Firmware 2.0.0.11 has been published for the GS308EP:
New Features and Enhancements:
- Support for adjusting the management VLAN to enhance network management flexibility.
- Support for manual SNTP server configuration for system time synchronization.
- Support for PoE scheduling to allow users to configure power on/off timing for connected PoE devices.
Bug fixes:
- Fixes the issue where multicast traffic was incorrectly forwarded across different VLANs.

A perfect valid question.
According the Revision History in the current User Manual, Date and Time settings and PoE Schedule were added in February 2026. However, the current "last" firmware is 2.0.0.5 for both the GS308EP and the GS308EPP, which does include the features as documented in May 2025. Oddly, the revision date (according to the Release Notes document) is in July 2025.
Feels like the firmware including the new added features was not published yet as of writing. JulienR please -)
Guess you are a new customer for this GS308EP: So don't hesitate to contact Netgear Support, and include a link reference to this post, and ask about the availability of an update with the date and time settings, also including the PoE schedule sections as documented.

Have got the offer for buying a GS305EP from an closing-down IT business. Took the plunge, and installed
[NTGR KB] GS305EP Firmware Version 2.0.0.10 available since 16-MAR-2026, so a good month after the GS305EP/EPP, GS308EP/EPP User Manual was updated.
The code for the legacy NSDP was removed - I guess they had to free up some Flash space for implementing the
added Features and Enhancements:
- Support for adjustment of the Management VLAN to enhance network management flexibility.
- Support for manual SNTP server configuration for system time synchronization.
- Support for PoE scheduling to allow users to configure power on/off timing for connected PoE devices.
The Management VLAN appears to be a pure software implementation (considering the sub-minor version number change from 2.0.0.5 to 2.0.0.10), it's available along with the Advanced 802.1Q VLAN configuration mode only.
A lot of progress for these inexpensive Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ Easy Smart Managed Switch models.
Had challenged Netgear Support about the release of the similar enhanced firmware for the GS308EP and GS308EPP yesterday - they have requested the status from RD. A big "Thank you!" goes Thank you MarcinS ( a team mate of JulienR and a community moderator as I've figured) for the comprehensive continuous support and assistance!

ETA for the similar featured firmware updates for the GS308EPP is apparently scheduled for March 27th. I tend to expect the same date for the GS308EP update. Thank you goes to all the customer friendly Netgear support people taking care on our requests!
While talking: All this applies to the technically very similar GS105EP, GS105EPP, GS108EP, and GS108EPP models. 2.0.0.10 for the five port GS105EP/EPP versions is out since last week, I expect GS108EP/EPP will follow next week.
Is color the only difference between GS108EP and GS308EP? I couldn't find any other differences...
