I just configured a new MS305E. When I access the UI through it's IP address (http://10.10.1.5), everything works correctly. When I access the UI through a DNS Name (http://switch1.home), I get the login screen, but the password is rejected. Any idea what is wrong ?What happened to GS308T ?
Hello I am searching for a new switch and found Netgear's "GS308T" (notice the 'T' at the end, not to be confused with any other switch with a similar model designation.) But as I search for where I can buy this switch I get no results. When I search at netgear.com for GS308T the search bar shows an autosuggestion for "S350 Smart Switches (GS308T) 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Smart Switch", but as far as I can see there is no product page on netgear.com for GS308T. So, what happened to GS308T? Is the switch discontinued? Has it been rebranded and now have an entirely different model designation? Hello all, I have a pair of MS510TXPPs, each connected to a router via 10G SFP, and 300Mbps internet, and for a long time all was well - one MS510TX was set up as a dumb switch, the other did some light VLAN retagging and forwarding, and running a speed test showed I was getting about 300Mbps. Then I upgraded to 1Gbps internet, and suddenly I cannot get more than 300Mbps through the MS510TX's - I can connect to the ONT and get 1Gbps, I can connect to the router and get 1G, I can connect to the SFP+ port the MS510TX is using as the uplink and still get 1Gbps, but any time either of the MS510TX is in the chain my performance drops to 300Mbps, almost as though it's hitting a limiter. The ports are all negotiating to the proper speeds (my test machine is 2.5 Gbps), I am running the latest firmware (6.7.0.52), I have factory reset both switches, I tried disabling routing functionality just so it's not hitting the CPU, and every once in a blue moon when I run a speed test I do actually see 700, 800 Mbps through the switch, but upon repeat it goes back to 300 Mbps. it appears as though I am not the only one with this issue (here and here, for instance), but I don't see any sort of resolution (save one poster recommending returning the unit). Anyone run across something similar, or know of a reason why a factory default MS510TXPP would have a throughput limitation like this? Thanks in advance.Product state of GS116E
Hi, I am trying to determine whether the Ethernet switch GS116E is still supported or has reached the end of its product cycle. The NETGEAR product pages provide conflicting information. The German product page indicates that the switch has reached end-of-life status, while the English product page does not mention this, suggesting that support is still available. Which of the two pages is correct? German product page: https://www.netgear.com/support/product/gs116e/ Englisch product page: https://www.netgear.com/de/support/product/gs116e/ Thanks in advanced!JGS524Ev2 won’t factory reset with paper clip. Can’t apply any changes in management
Hello, I would be grateful for some help. I was thinking I would update the firmware to the latest version but when I log on to the switch the apply button won’t highlight or do anything. I tried to reset the switch to factory settings using a paper clip as per instructions. But it won’t reset and I cannot make any changes. Any help appreciated. Thank you.GS110TPv2
Good morning, I have a problem with logs on my GS110TPV2 device. When I run the "NETGEAR Switch Discovery Tool," a large number of entries appear in my switch logs that look like this: 11 May 26 11:21:57 192.168.2.239-1 UNKN[2176903268]: nsdp_control.c(1427) 946 %% nsdpRecvPduProcess : COMMAND TYPE(2): Wrong command received! Which service on the device does this relate to? How can I disable it? My other NetGear device models do not have this in the logs when scanning the network with the "NSDT" program.Netgear GS308EP
Morning all from UK. Just purchased my first ever switch and decided to go for one with POE as I want to eventually run a couple of security cameras. I've only just installed the switch and am taking time to make sure I don't do something silly. I know that this switch doesn't have a DHCP server and doesn't therefore allocate IP addresses but logging on using the Netgear Discovery Tool, on the first page it says; "IP Address (DHCP ON)", and if you click on the link it expands the page and the first item is; DHCP - assign the address automatically - and an on/off slider button. Default is on. Am I correct in assuming that the switch being "on", merely allows pass through of IP addresses allocated by the router? Although I don't plan to touch this setting, can I just ask that if this slider is turned "Off", do all the devices connected to the switch lose their allocated IP addresses? Apologies if this is a basic question but I am in the learning stage. Thanks
