GS724TPPV3 possibly blocking VRRP on my mobility express primary election port 112
we have just started replacing our older switches and immediatly have started a new problem. We have Cisco AP's using the Mobility express and as soon as we moved an AP to this new switch, the AP's are going haywire and multiple AP's are becoming primary. THe only thing we can figure out is that somehow the election broadcast via the VRRP protocol 112 packets are getting intercepted or blocked on the network. In effect a AP powers up, it sends out an election request for a primary AP and doesn't hear back, so it becomes the primary, when there is already a primary on the network. now we have multiple because we moved 3 AP's to this Switch.
ANy suggestions. i haven't found anything that pertains to this on the web interface.

I'd contact Cisco support and ask them what can be done or is needed to be set on the NG switch and see if they can help. Might need some VLAN configuration. I've seen some Orbi systems need a VLAN for use in getting satellite APs working correctly over ethernet when connected any form of a managed or smart managed switch. Something to ask Cisco about.
Might check to see if any IGMP or Green Ethernet protocols need to be disabled on the switch.
