GS724TPV2 - PoE Diagnostic - what is the meaning of Power Denied ,MPS Absent and Invalid Sig.
Hi there
Can anyone tell me, what is the meaning of the followings and how it happen?
1. Power Denied
2. MPS Absent
3. Invalid Sig.
My PoE switch hangs frequently, thanks~
Those are fault statuses.
Power Denied. The port was denied power because of a shortage of power or because of an administrative condition. In this condition, the port cannot provide power.
MPS Absent. The port detected the absence of the main power supply, preventing the port from providing power.
Invalid Signature Counter. Displays the times that an invalid signature was received. Signatures are the means by which the powered device identifies itself to the PSE. Signatures are generated during powered device detection, classification, or maintenance.
