M6 screen icon meanings
Dumb question but buggered if I can find a reference to the M6 hotspot screen icons and their meanings in the manual or on the web.
My M6 suddenly started displaying a red triangle with an exclamation mark inside it. The device seems to be working as usual so I was wondering if anyone can give me a quick explanation.
Thanks for help
Have you tried accessing the webGUI and see if the error appears? Might also help if you take a pic to the actual LCD display next you see this message and post here. that will help other be aware of this mysterious error message. I would also assume you have it on the latest FW?

Swipe up on the screen. Usually the error message will pop-up. The only time I saw a red exclamation error was for an overheat situation. It will go away once the device cools down.

Thanks for your reply.
I run the M6 without the battery so heat shouldn't be a factor. Having said that I do live in Queensland Australia and it is warm/hot here.
The small red triangle is on the "front" page of the device with the time, signal strength, etc. Swiping up doesn't pop up the error message.
It is nice of Netgear to have no reference to this icons anywhere..... NOT
cheers

I also have the same icon appear on my screen, it is there all the time, there are no error messages. So what does it mean. I can see the images of the other poster.

G'Day
I am still trying to find out what that icon warning is. No one seems to be able to give me an answer. The interesting thing is it doesn't seem to have affected the modems performance (that i can tell anyway!).
My research continues but am very interested if anyone (including Netgear support) has an explanation.

Doing a bit more research, there has been a mention that it is a high temp warning. When my unit is turned on in the morning it works very well, but as the day goes on the unit gets hotter and the performance drops off. It use to lay on a shelf, but now it sits vertical on brackets a few cm from the wall. It takes longer to heat up and good performance lasts longer. That warning triangle stays on all the time, it is there when first turned on.

I think attachments are moderated, and they appear to be not loading initially until it is cleared (just my assumption), but I do see it now too.
Did you try accessing the web admin page using a desktop browser? Usually if there is an error, it will pop-up in the desktop admin page. Check your SMS inbox and see if it's full. Usually when full, it will give some sort of warning. Can't remember exactly how it appears on the LCD UI, but just check and see if that causes the warning. delete all SMS and see if the icon goes away.- gullies1101Aspirant
I always use the browser based admin as the device LED is way to small to display meaningful data for my poor old eyesight. No errors are listed except "Data usage unavailable" but unneeded so I ignore it. Other then that everything else is as I set it up and no errors reported.
Initially I was interested in the icon meaning and am now more surprised the Netgear don't list the icons on their support page or in any available manuals. I just think that is an oversight on their part.
Thanks for your input on this.

Isn't it a temperature warning? Usually, for me, it comes when a temperature rise occurs, but it also shows the warning message.
