GS728TPv2 Port Security - Sticky MAC
Hi All,
I am trying to enable port security on my switch so that the first device plugged into that port is allowed, but if that device is unplugged and a new device plugged in then the port shuts down. I believe this is done by turning on port security globally, enabling port security on my specified port, setting "Max Learned MAC Address" to 1, and enabling "Enable Violation Shutdown". I have done this however, when I unplug the first device and plug in the second, all traffic is allowed to flow and the port stays active. It looks as though the first devices MAC is dynamically learned, but when I unplug that device it is immediately forgotten and so the 2nd device is free to take over.
I believe in Cisco speak I am looking to enable "Sticky MAC" but I don't see any options for that in the UI or within the CLI commands. Am I barking up the wrong tree or have I missed something?
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
Jon
