GS748TS web interface issue when configuring LAGs
We have several GS748TS which need reconfiguration of the LAGs, however neither Chrome nor IE 10 (both normal and compatibility mode) appear to allow us to access the LAG configuration.
In Google Chrome, everything loads, except for the UI component to select ports to add / remove from a lag (Switching -> LAG -> LAG Membership). The same occurs for VLAN membership.
In Internet Explorer 10, the initial page after login doesn't even load correctly. With compatibility mode enabled, clicking on Switching -> LAG doesn't show the summary of the LAGs, however VLAN membership configuration works fine.
Any suggestions as to how we can manage the LAG configuration? A new firmware would be nice :)
Switch specifics from System -> Management -> System Information:
Model: GS748TS
Hardware Version: 00.00.01
Boot Version: 1.0.1.5
Software Version: V5.2.0.10

I wonder how much time in aggregate has been wasted by how many NetGear customers like us since NetGear first knew of this issue? And they didn't even bother to update the docs, or include an Errata / Read This First slip?
Jeez, what an attitude.

- jmizoguchiVirtuosoHave you tried firefox?
If you still have an issues contact support directly with it via portal at my.netgear.com
If interface is orange/blue then seems I have just read last week different model with orange/blue interface has browser issues - pwallace10AspirantHi
Has this ever been resolved, I have inherited a site with a number of these switches and need to configure some LAG and VLAN's.
(or I need to throw the switches away) - holmesmillerAspirantSame here. Wasted several fraught hours this weekend, assuming there was a problem with my client's servers, or a failure of one or more of three GS748TSes we've just bought.
This doesn't feel like "browser issues".
I've tried IE, Chrome, and Firefox. Repeating the same operation on the same PC/browser yields inconsistent results. Of the hundred and more times I have tried, once - yes ONCE - I saw the correct LAG membership page. Often I don't even get past the password - just the top part of the screen refreshes - sometimes after a delay, the rest paints in. Same for other screens thereafter.
This even on a completely silent network, two devices attached to one switch, immediately after a factory reset.

NOT A HAPPY BUNNY ! - bilko2AspirantI am having the same problem. Wasted several hours on this.
Hardware/Boot/Firmware versions:
00.00.01 1.0.1.5 V5.2.0.10
Has anyone got any hard information from Netgear?
Also NOT happy - holmesmillerAspirantFurther searching, and in parallel NetGear Tech Support, pointed me to this KB:

Jeez, what an attitude. - Count me in for 5 lost hours on this. Mine was actually trying to change the VLAN membership of the ports, but in Chrome the bottom half of the screen would never load. In IE, almost nothing at all would load. Netgear has the WORST tech support. I don't understand how a company can fully expect a customer, setting up a brand new device, to waste hours trying to find a solution to a problem. that seems to be totally acceptable to Netgear and would not fly in any other business!
- Thank you so much for posting the link !!! WIthout that, I was thinking I had a bad batch of netgear switches. How is it possible that the only web browser software that will display this right is over 4 years old??? That is incredibly unbelievable!
- I have downloaded FireFox 3.5.6, but when I try to log into the switch, I get the following message.
The page at http://192.168.0.239 says: There is no response from the server.
I can't even get logged in with FireFox. Can anyone verify what has worked for them?
Thanks. - holmesmillerAspirantPortable 3.5.6 worked for me. Proverbial night and day, clouds lifted, etc etc.
- bilko2AspirantThank you HM for that link
Firefox Portable 3.5.6 works for me.
This should be in big letters in the manual (or preferably the firmware fixed).
A reason not to buy Netgear in the future.
