GS748Tv5 intermittent noisy cooling fans
Hey Guys,
Bough a GS748Tv5 switch and started to put-in-through-its-paces...
I have some other issues regarding Startech SFP's modules and SFP port 49.
That's being taken care of with support.
My question for the community is, do all of these switches have a noisy intermittent fan?
The fan isn't consistently active with low rpm's, as is common with all of my devices,
but periodically activates and then deactivates. Is this normal for this model?
It would have been nice if the admin system would monitor and report the temperature in real time!

These are switches intended mainly for rack mount operations, typically installed on top of the rack - where the cooling system has to move a lot of heat.
From my notes, probably on earlier GS748T models, such fans are in place:
Delta EFB0412VHD: 9000 RPM, 10.1 CFM, 33 dB (40x40x20mm), 1x
Delta EFB0412VHA: 8000 RPM, 9.5 CFM, 38 dB (40x40x10mm), 3xThis can't be silent. Almost certainly, there is some duty cycle regulation in place, doubt there is a full-off status, something like 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%.
Not sure, there are no Temperature and Fan indications on the System Information page? In the earlier years, Netgear had implemented private MIBs NETGEAR-BOXSERVICES-PRIVATE-MIB like https://www.circitor.fr/Mibs/Html/F/FASTPATH-BOXSERVICES-PRIVATE-MIB.php where Fans and Sensors tables are typically accessible.
