JGS524Ev2 ip config with no gateway

Hi,

I am setting up a new JGS524Ev2 device. In my network I don't have a gateway so I would leave the "gateway" field blank, but this results in a "IP Address: is not a valid IP address!" message.

What could I do?

I had a thought on using the IP itself as the gw, but I am not sure if it's safe/correct, is it?

Thank you very much in advance,

Andrea

  • I would suggest to reserve an IP address in the subnet for the default gateway purpose - even if it does not exist currently - and configure it accordingly.

Thank you, just as I did. Bye!
