Looking for a downloadable manual for the GS108PE-300NAS

Newbie... There are several switches providing PoE with model numbers beginning with: #GS108PE. I am trying to locate a downloadable MANUAL for my Amazon purchased Netgear UNMANAGED switch #GS108PE-300NAS. The ”Installation” sheet enclosed in the box identifies the switch as #GS108PEv3 which appears to be a MANAGED switch. I have downloaded the “MANAGED” switch manual but can’t locate an UNMANAGED version of the user’s manual. Thank you.

  • The Amazon listing* (interestingly sold by amazon.com!) is kinda wrong. The GS108PE-300NAS (the xxxxxx[P]E does indicate it's a Smart Managed Plus, the -300 indicates v3, NAS the localized packaging content like power supply) is a Smart Managed Plus switch, indeed. These are essentially "non-"managed switch cores which can be configured in some aspects (e.g. 802.1q VLAN, LACP LAG, ICMP Multicast snooping,  ...

    Support -> https://www.netgear.com/support/product/GS108PEv3

    Documentation -> https://www.netgear.com/support/product/GS108PEv3#docs
    Downloads (e.g. firmware, discovery tool) -> https://www.netgear.com/support/product/GS108PEv3#download

    So be happy and enjoy! You got more than expected...

      Thank you for your complete, thoughtful, patient, and professional answer. A favorite reflection of mine is, “It is as important to know what you don’t know as it is to know what you know.” The situation didn’t make sense to me and your edification resolved the conundrum.

        All right, two things I would do when operating or deploying these switches: Ensure the password is changed away from the default "password", and a process is in place to ensure firmware updates (mainly for security reasons) is set in place.
