MS510TXUP doesn't communicate with VRRP routers
Hi,
I have noticed that the switch cannot communicate with any VRRP router.
I mean any device with a MAC address of 00-00-5E-00-01-XX.
The switch simply sends ARP packets over and over, but does not accept a response with that MAC address.
No network packet for the destination IP address ever leaves the switch and it claims that a connection timeout has occurred.
There is no problem communicating with the same target host and its physical interface.
I have other Netgear devices, such as the GS752TPP, connected on this network and they work as intended.
Any possible solution to this problem, perhaps a software update?

Undoubted, a valid Virtual Router MAC address https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc3768#section-7.3 ... work for Netgear Switch engineering. BretD please handle it accordingly, thank you!

Hi BrianL ,
I haven't yet made contact.
I have another urgent support case open and am waiting for a solution. But I intend to do it soon.
Kind regards,

I have checked and cannot do so as the switch's support period has come to an end.
I do not have a support subscription unfortunately.
