Netgear 10G switchs slow connection speeds

Good day all, i have the following 10G switches below configured in my environment.

1. XS748T ProSAFE 48-Port -gigabit Smat Managed switch

2. XS716E - 16-Port 10-gigabit Managed switch

All configuration are out of the box. both switch are in seperate remote environment and a connected via a fiber cross connect. Media converters are used at both ends. The bandwidth on the fiber in 1Gbps. The problem i am having is that when i trafer files or do a iperf between servers i am getting 70mbps and that is extremaly low. before i had some older 1G swiths and us used to get tranfers speeds upto 800mbps.

As stated before all configurations are default. Any ideas as to what to be causing the low trafers rates.

    When rebooting the switches, will the performance return to normal 10G speed - except of the link where I assume the 1G limit you talk of is coming from the media converters?

    Confirm your set-up:

    XS748T <-GbE-> Media Adapter <-Fiber-> Media Adapter <-GbE-> XS716E

    What hits my eye: Is this fiber a direct connection (dark fiber) on single mode or multi mode fiber? Or is there a fiber operator/carrier involved with other active components so there is some contractual limit to 1G?

    If this is your fiber pair, what does stop you from using fiber-matching SFP+ modules on the two switches to gain 10G speed?

      My setup is a stated

      XS748T <-GbE-> Media Adapter <-Fiber-> Media Adapter <-GbE-> XS716E

      Yes there is a contractual limit to 1G. We never used the SPF module with the 1G switched and my performance was between 700Mbps and 800Mbps. Now the swiths are upgrated to 10G and i am getting 20Mbps to 30Mbps. I dont have to achive anything 10Gbps speeds, i just want to be able to achive my original speed of 700Mbps and 800Mbps.

      Any ideas.

        So asking agin: When rebooting the switches, will the performance return to normal 10G speed - except of the link where I assume the 1G limit you talk of is coming from the media converters?

        Might be worth to open a ticket with Netgear support anyway.
