When you can take the risk of installing the low power fans, giving up the ability to run the switch on top of a x kWh rack, at the price of a smaller cooling (and the potential risk of an indicated fan error)...
The alternate fan does take much less amps (more than 10 times) - at the same nominal voltage. Where is the risk?

Hi schumaku
I replaced the stock fans today with 2x Noctua NF-A4x20 PWM fans
I wanted to know if the temperatures are safe?
With the STOCK very noisy fans the temperatures were:
Sensor 1: 43C
Sensor 2: 58C
With the Noctua NF-A4x20 PWM fans:
Sensor 1: 45C
Sensor 2: 68C
If I populate 4 10GbE ports with 10GbE connections, Sensor 2 goes up to 72C.
I am very very happy that the noise is now SILENT, but a little worried about the temperatures?
Thanks
