Netgear Switch web changes immediately applied without apply button

I'm quite surprised how Netgear could release a software (latest firmware) that applies a network change immediately after you type or select an option without waiting for the apply button to be touched. It is almost impossible to make changes because the software goes ahead and applies that half baked change. Is this real? Does Netgear have any kind of testing or check? What kind of people work in their software departments to even think they could create and release something like this.

Is this on the GS308E Ethernet Smart Managed Plus Switch listed in your footer?

Many problems apply to a swath of devices. One router is much like another in many aspects. So questions about General WiFi Routers (Non-Nighthawk and Non-Orbi), the topic of this section, could apply to most routers, but switches and routers don't share many features.

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

Smart / Plus / Click Switches - NETGEAR Communities

    or

Discuss Ethernet Switches Plus and Pro Managed

    This might also be useful:

    Search - NETGEAR Communities – GS308E

I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.

In the meantime you could visit the support pages:

    Support | NETGEAR

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.

You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.

I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.

Please provide some more details, the exact use case, or config process where this immediate change does leave the switch or config in a half baked config state.

    Version number?

Has this changed or became worse since which version?
