Overkill home network switch? S3300-28X opinions
Hi,
Im wondering if im biting off more then I can chew with a managed switch (S3300-28X)
Heres what i would like to do:
- Asus RT-AX89X router 10GB Base T copper port connected to S3300-28X 10GB Base T copper Port 25T
- S3300-28X 10GB Base T copper Port 26T to PC
- All other LAN ports to various ethernet devices
Im buy no means a network programmer but I can soon sort through it. I have a 950mb/s fibre internet connection to the house. 10GB vs standard GB may seem overkill but im more trying to future proof it all as much as I can. I have also consindered stacking 2x GS810EMX switches.
The whole place is wired in cat 6a
Interested to know peoples opinions on these types of set ups given that i will be using at least 20 of these ports on the switch.
thanks

You may proceed with the network setup you have described. :)
Be reminded that the GS108EMX switch does not support stacking. However, you can daisy chain 2 GS108EMX switches.
To know more about the S3300-28X switch, kindly check its data sheet here.
Also, NETGEAR has a variety of business switch models. You can check the links below and check the switch model that might also fit your requirements:
