Ports unavailable on GS724Tv3
Hello
I bought a second-hand GS724Tv3. It seems to run correctly except that it has disabled 8 port (g1 to g8) : on connecting any device, not even the "link" LED lights up.
I intent to check all paramaters of the admin web page of this switch and I'm unabble to find diference beetween those 8 ports and the others ones.
I made the firmware update to the last one (5.4.2.30)
I restarted many times the switch device.
What should I check ? I'm newbie with red technics
Thanks a lot for any idea.

I've no way to do this. A more constructive solution?

Hardware repair - however not sure this is what you want to hear. Not much headroom for this, as factory new GS724Tv4 are available for less then 170 USD ex VAT in the market - including NETGEAR limited lifetime hardware warranty for the original buyer.

Log into the switch.
Click on the Switching tab.
Click on Ports.
Click on Port Configuration.
Ensure all ports (g1-g28) have Admin Mode enabled (that's really what turns it off/on; nothing about "admin").
I typically disable ports to prevent rogue devices from connecting without my permission. If that doesn't help, try resetting it to factory default, then redo the setup you need. Factory default is at Maintenance tab, Factory Default link. Good luck.

Thank you very much.
Saddly, it doesn't change anything.
Regards.
