Is it possible to download a Text Configuration file or a firmware Image to the GS108Tv2 switch using SNMP commands? If so, what are the correct OIDs to use? The target switch I am looking at does ...

Hi @marktpalmer,
I have replied to your post here. I have edited and updated the download link with the MIB for the GS108Tv2. You can also download it here.
You may use the NMS300 to download a text configuration file or firmware image. You can download the latest version of NMS300 here.

NMS is a non-starter (cannot use Windows on our platform).
I have tried to retrieve a file with a known to be working TFTP server, but I get a weird error (its weird because the file I am retireving is the exact file I downloaded via the Web GUI).
The error is "This file is not intended for this product!" (weird right?). I also confirmed I could "download" the file to the switch successfully.
So, it TFTP client broken on the switch?

Just to verify, are you trying to restore a configuration file to the switch? If yes, what was the firmware version of the GS108Tv2 switch when you have backed up the configuration file?
What is the current firmware version of the GS108Tv2 switch?
Be reminded that if ever you have backed up a configuration file when the GS108Tv2 was using an older firmware version, then you upgraded the firmware of the GS108Tv2 to the latest version, it is not possible to restore the configuration file. You will need to reconfigure the setting from scratch. It is because the configuration file from an older firmware version is not compatible to the latest firmware version.

Am restoring the switch config to the exact same switch. So, no difference in firmware.

Kindly try the following:
1. Refresh the browser you are using or use another browser. Delete the cache as well then try to restore the config file to the GS108Tv2 switch.
2. Reboot the GS108Tv2 switch where you will restore the config file.
3. If reboot did not help, perform a factory reset on the GS108Tv2 switch where you will restore the config file.
If the above steps did not help, it is possible that the config file you are trying to restore got corrupted. The next thing to do is reconfigure the GS108Tv2 from scratch.
