Hi. I'm searching for successor >=24 Port 10G-BaseT L2/L2+ Ethernet Switch as the current model XS728T is End-of-life. Netgear offers the XS724EM, which is also End-of-life, and the new XS724EMv2, which seems to be perfect for our use case. But as this is an important requirement for our international business the Switch must be UL listed or certified. Based on the datasheet the obsolete XS724EM is UL listed (UL listed (UL 1950)/cUL IEC 950/EN 60950), but I can't find any UL specification in the datasheet of the new XS724EMv2. So, I want to ask if anyone here can check the name plate on the XS724EMv2 switch if there is any symbol regarding UL or cUL. Thanks in advanceJGS524Ev2 not retaining config on reboot
similar to other folks that have posted before (e.g. https://community.netgear.com/discussions/business-smart-plus-click-switches/jgs524ev2--jgs516pe-loosing-some-vlan-configuration-after-reboot/2233853), the JGS524Ev2 is not retaining configs on reboot. more specifically vlans. not really finding troubleshooting steps. the device also fails to update to V2.6.0.50 from V2.6.0.48. it show the progress bar when i apply the change, but a couple seconds later drops back to the login page and nothing happened. any help is appreciated. thanks!Issue with PoE Interface on GS728TPPv2
Hello everyone, I'm experiencing a persistent issue with the PoE interface on my NETGEAR GS728TPPv2 switch. The interface seems to be constantly loading and doesn't respond even after updating the firmware. Currently, I'm using firmware version 6.0.10.23. When I exported the tech support file, it included the message "Get PoE FW Failed! Please check PoE HW." Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your help. YixiangGS110TP hardware version?
Hello, I have the GS110TP V1H1 switch (I'm assuming I have the V1 hardware?). I am trying to find the correct firmware to use. When I check the support page for the GS110TP, it lists firmware as 5.0.1.10 (Located here GS110TP Page) I noticed something weird.. On the back of the switch, there is a sticker that shows the firmware being newer than what's on the GS110TP page?: HW: GS110TP SW: 5.0.3.5 Does anyone know how I can confirm which firmware I should be using, and where I can find the most current firmware? Thanks. What happened to GS308T ?
Hello I am searching for a new switch and found Netgear's "GS308T" (notice the 'T' at the end, not to be confused with any other switch with a similar model designation.) But as I search for where I can buy this switch I get no results. When I search at netgear.com for GS308T the search bar shows an autosuggestion for "S350 Smart Switches (GS308T) 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Smart Switch", but as far as I can see there is no product page on netgear.com for GS308T. So, what happened to GS308T? Is the switch discontinued? Has it been rebranded and now have an entirely different model designation? We are looking to isolate our VoIP traffic to its own VLAN. For a number of reasons, we'd like this to happen without needing to configure each phone. It looks like Netgear switches support this. Unfortunately, the documentation is scattered and in many cases outdated. I'm hoping some folks here can show me where we're going wrong. Goals: Voice VLAN = 88. Ports 1-44 set to untagged VLAN 1 and VLAN 88. Default to 1 unless MAC address prefix matches a VoIP device. Ports 45-46 are for router for Voice-VLAN and has no access to VLAN 1. Ports 47-48 are for router normal VLAN (1) and has no access to VLAN 88. Ports 49-52 are uplinks and should carry traffic for both VLANs. The phone should be able to operate in pass-through mode, and devices behind them should default to VLAN 1 as they normally would. Currently I am facing two issues: When I plug in a phone with matching MAC prefix, it is not being pushed to VLAN 88. I'm unable to outright disable Voice-VLAN (88) on ports 47-48. I'll add some screenshots of the current config in a follow-up post. Hopefully some kind network admin will take a look and be able to spot where I'm going wrong.377Views0likes11Comments
