S3300-28X Image Upgrade
Hi,
I received a replacement S3300-28X via eBay today on version 6.4.0.19 running on image2. I upgraded image 1 to 6.6.1.4 using the instructions here...
https://kb.netgear.com/31220/S3300-Firmware-Version-6-6-1-4
I changed the switch to boot from image1, but it won't start - the light stays on amber. Everything succeeded in the process and both images were reporting the correct versions.
Anyone have any ideas on what process to follow? How can I go back to booting from image2? Seems an incredibly simple process that has totally failed.
Thanks

I realise I missed the following step:
- Please download v6.6.1.4 to both active and inactive (backup) images when upgrading from v6.4.0.x.
I'm not used to having to apply upgrades to all images at once. What's the point of dual images otherwise.
Could this be the cause?

Welcome to our community! :)
Dual-image or back-up firmware is used just in case you encounter any issues on the latest firmware that you have uploaded. In that case, you can just revert it back to its previous firmware in order for the switch to work in production.
As per the release notes, you may need to upload it first on image 1 or 2 or vice-versa before you upgrade to 6.4.1.x version.
