Unable to set SFP+ port to 10Gb negotiation on MS510TX
Hi, Since the peer device only support manual link speed. Is there any way to configue the MS510TX switch to 10Gb? Thanks,

Found that is peer SFP module issue, case closed

No, and it's not required.

Are we facing fiber or copper SFP+ modules here?
On Ethernet copper links, IEEE clearly requires (mandtory) that the link speed -must- be negotiated for link speeds from 1000M and up (faster).
On fiber links there is -no- link speed negotiation, the default speed is used. So the only exception you might have to worry are 10G fiber modules, but you need a 1G link only. The solution is -not- using a 10G module, but install a 1G module instead.
Does this cause an issue, or is this some (likely outdated) idea or assumption that you "have" to define the link speed?

Since it shows link down when I set to auto.
Therefor on the MS510TX I would only able to set link speed to manual 1Gb Full and does not able to set to 10Gb Full.

This is only to change a 1G/10G capable SFP+ fiber module to behave like a 1G one.

Standard fiber install troubleshooting required. Unlikely a config issue on the switch.
- Fibers measured and validted?
- Appropriate modules installed on both ends (same fiber tech single vs multi mode, same frequency aka. colour, ...)?
- Loopback TX and RX does lead to a link LED indication, on both near end and far end?
Which SFP+ module(s) make and model(s) involved?

From the configuration guide, it also only shows able to configure as Auto/1Gb Full on a SFP+ port.
Already confirmed not the hardware problem.
