XS716T ProSAFE 16-port 10-Gigabit - How many equipments can we connect in RJ45 10GBs : 16 or 18 ?
Hello,
I want to use a XS716T 16-port 10-Gigabit for a private network and make use of all the available 10 GBs ports to connect equipments using RJ45 copper network cables. How many ports I can use in this configuration : 16 or 18 ( 16 + 2) ?
It is not clear to me if I can use the 2 SFP+ combo ports the same way as the other 16 RJ45 ports? If I can use them, then I suppose I need to by some extra hardware like 10GBASE-T SFP+ Copper Transceiver—RJ45 connector ?
NOTE: This switch will be totally independent (NOT connected to any other switch on the network).

Combo-port means you can either use the copper _or_ the SFP+ (mutually exclusive). For the XS716T this means that you can use 15T or 15F resp. 16T or 16F:
