I'm wondering if its a way with how simplisafe sets up their system. we see it a lot with sonos equipment that functions fairly similar. I haven't really found a good solution because they tend to want the base station connected to the router and not AP's.

Thank you - that was my next step to solve this - get with SimpliSafe. They say they are ready anytime to help sooooo I will see if they can.
I will post any updates I get from SimpliSafe - good or bad

Thought I would provide an update.
This is specific to SimpliSafe Outdoor Wireless cameras installed using WBC 502 Master/Satellite configuration.
There is no problem setting up the camera where the SimpliSafe Base Station is located. My Base Station is attached to the Satellite WIFI and the camera works fine.
I do not know what I did, but one time when I listed the available WIFI networks in my MASTER environment I saw the name of the Satellite WIFI network that I used to support the SimpliSafe Base Station.
My theory, as yet to be proven is:
- The camera 'carries' the WIFI network it is attached to - in my case on the Satellite.
- The camera has to be close to the SimpliSafe base station to be added as a device, but it uses the WIFI to communicate
- I believe that when I take the camera to the Master network, it will see the Satellite WIFI network
Now I have to figure out what I did to get the Satellite WIFI network to be seen by the Master WIFI network.
I will continue to research until I hit a wall or get it to work.
- The camera 'carries' the WIFI network it is attached to - in my case on the Satellite.
