No.
On it's own, the GS308PP is just an unmanaged switch.
Add a router, or any device doing DHCP for a LAN, e.g. a surveillance system offering such features.

Yes.

Consult the defined Surveillance IP PoE-enabled 4K cameras data sheets, compare with the GS308PP data sheet FMI.

Do you mean that the "DHCP server" Does Not Exist in any network Switch ?
Becuase if IT Does Exist, then why would I go for a router ? (being these devices comes with lower PoE ports qty than switches).
I'd expect to know which models are the correct options for me instead.
Because, what I'm looking for is just buying a single device that meets all the requirements as the most efficient cost solution.

Of course, Smart Managed switches with some L2+ or L3 feature sets come with a DHCP server.

Because you might need to provide Internet access, being for the cameras, being for video recording, being for alerting, ... and much more. ?

Unlikely to find routers with the required amount of PoE (or PoE ports providing the power required) ports anyway. Simple routers are often coming with Internet connection contracts, or are dirt cheap - especially if there is no need to provide wireless.

Chicken or egg problem - lack of any information or insight on your project.

There are no all-in-one wonders in a single box. Here, the beauty of Ethernet comes into the play. Very easy to connect a router LAN port to one big PoE switch, or multiple PoE switches (distributed over your infrastructure) for example.

Hello NETGEAR Community,
I want to connect several PoE-enabled devices to a network switch, and I got GC110P recommended.
* Main Purpose: Surveillance IP PoE-enabled 4K cameras as "CCTV" solution.
Therefore, the features I need for any network switch (at least) are:
1. IP addresses automatically provissioning (DHCP server embedded).
2. Gigabit speed.
3. PoE (I don't know how much max power is required)
** No VLANs, QoS are needed.
1. Does this model meet these requirements ?
2. What is the best recommendation for me on Network Switch (based on my need) ?
** I'm looking for just buying a single device that meets all the requirements as the most efficient cost solution; This means avoiding buying additional router.
Your advice is welcome.
