GS116 potential issue with downloading
I have a GS116 switch I'm connected to through a wall port. When I download larger files (15 gigs usually does it) I lose all connection on my PC until I restart it, in which I'm connected again. Unplugging and replugging the connection does not solve this, and I'm looking for a solution that keeps me from having to restart my computer every time I download something. I believe the issue is involving the switch as other people are connected directly to the router and can download with no issues, and this only happens on ports connected to the switch. This has been going on since I got it, in March. Are there any known solutions for this? Please don't suggest basic things like turning it off and on again and switching around physical ports, it's appreciated but I've already tried those.

Either we face a abling/wiring issue with the wall-outlet, the switch uplink to the router, a problem with the Ethernet adapter and driver on the computer - or the switch might be defective and requires a replacment. https://my.netgear.com/ -> My Support -> [Contact Support] ->
