Looks like one more of these lazy OEM system (type any popular brands here)...
For example, have an eye here https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/15084/intel-ethernet-adapter-complete-driver-pack.html alas current as of writing, but as always I can be wrong) or give the ubiquitous Intel Driver Support Assistant a try.
No idea if this does magically fix anything, but worth ...
I tried installing the drivers manually, nothing took.
Ran the Intel driver and support tool and it had updates for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth but not the LAN adapter.
