GS308v3 unable to connect to websites
Apologies for the long explanation
I have a BT Smarthub 2 -connection fibre to cabinet, copper to the house.
A 'TP link' range extender in the kitchen/diner - anything logged onto this extension works perfectly. Internet speeds are good
There are 5 ethernet connections (cctv, tesla gateway, two televisions and a PC) plugged into a Netgear GS308v3 8 port ethernet unmanaged switch, which is the problem area.
The cctv and tesla gateway work okay but slow.
The televisions can fail to load streaming apps, but once logged in stream okay, but can buffer.
The PC shows connected to the internet, and can send and receive Signal messages and emails but cannot open websites (different browsers have been tried). The message 'unable to find that website' messages are received
Cables have been replaced, both the switch and the homehub turned on and off endlessly without gain.
On the PC IPv6 has been turned off to no gain, as has IPv4 (and turned back on now of course). dns purge, winsock reset etc. all without gain.
Finally, if I try to connect to the main wireless signal, I can connect to the homehub but there is no internet access initially, but internet can 'arrive' after a few minutes.
Any suggestions welcome
The GS308 is a non managed switch so wouldn't or shouldn't be causing any problems. Unless it's a hardware failure. Be sure to sue good quality LAN cables between the host router and switch and ethernet connected devices. CAT6 UTP is best.
Test ethernet connected devices with out the switch in the mix to compare results.
Try a different switch to compare results. GS108 is another non managed switch.

I'm starting to think that the problem is the motherboard adapter which I did try to reset as a possible solution to the problem. Bypassing the switch and plugging a limited number of devices into the SH2 shows that they do work, it is just the PC that won't fully connect to the internet. Thank you for taking the time to reply

Glad you figured it out.
Good Luck.
