GS308v3 will not connect to new phone adaptor

Question

GS308v3I can not find much information on my router. I had a Cisco phone adapter for years and have used it with this router for some time now. The phone adapter went bad and I was sent a new one. It will not stay connected. I was advised that i needed to contact my ISP to open a port but they refuse to do so. I have read some instructions but I can not complete any that I have. How can I get this this phone adaptor to work with my router?

The GS308 is a LAN switch that inter connects wired devices to a wired router.&nbsp;
Contact the mfr of this phone adapter to see howe it's installed and get support information.&nbsp;

They were not helpful they referred me to the ISP&nbsp;

It connects and works sometimes for a couple of days or a day then disconnects again.Xfinity was very rude but did send me instructions in an email but I cant figure it out.

The GS308 is a simple unmanaged switch. There isn't any settings or anything else on it you change. Whatever the gs308 is connected to is whats managing the connection. So basically what router do you have? If its an ISP device, they'd need to help you with it

I have instructions through ISP to open a port which I did but my service still is dropping out.
