GS605v5 only services one device at a time.

I have an older GS605v5 switch that has worked for a long time. I recently moved and now it will only service one device at a time. The two devices that I am connecting to it now are the same two devices as before.

I do remember accidentally connecting the same Ethernet cable between two ports on the switch. I'm wondering if doing this could have damaged the switch.

Thanks.

Typical cause is an Internet connection intended to serve one device at a time, like a cable modem, handing out one DHCP config by DHCP, ... so only one computer (or device) is able to get a workable network config.

The reason is the absence of a NAT router, which does serve a private IP subnet for the LAN.

Not a switch issue at all.
