A good starting point it to heck the correct product designation, commonly printed on the product label.
Not sure what you understand as EOL .... in Netgear terms, EOL are devices no longer orderable from the factory. Is not an indication you have to stop the usage of these products - especially not for unmanaged switches.
A little bit different might be the Plus switches like the GS116E or the JGS524E - technically built on an unmanaged core, but combined with a simple uC allowing both NSDP and simple WebUI config controls.
GS116E
GS116E-200NAS North America and Latin America
GS116E-200PES Europe
GS116E-200AUS Australia
GS116E-200UKS United Kingdom
GS116E-200JPS Japan
GS116E-200PRS ChinaJGS524E
JGS524E-200NAS North America and Latin America
JGS524E-200EUS Europe
JGS524E-200AJS Asia Pacific/Japan
JGS524E-200PRS China...where the -200 indicates the version and the -nnnXXX indicates the model or packaging market. So these examples would be GS116Ev2 or JGS524Ev2 in another notation.
Nothing that forbids using these products as long as these last - but for a risk scheme, you need to pave your own way.
Cumbersome, Netgear has still not managed (for years!) not to provide comprehensive product life cycle data, even for the Netgear Business products.
What we expect from Netgear is this:
For example HPE
For example Cisco
