JGS524
I‘m using JGS524 myself and with customers, so far very reliably. I‘m getting more and more massive problems because of NO LLDP support. It seems not to be routed. This a serious problem especially ...
LLDP isn't something "forwared" - it happens on the link level on a direct connection (link), the context is always just the link and the two ends.
The JGS524 is unmanaged so the firmware burned in (almost) fixed.
The tagged JGS524PE is a basic web configureable switch, in it's core it's a non-managed unit - don't think LLDP support can be added at all - same for almost all other "E" - "Ethernet Plus Switch" models [earlier Smart Managed Plus] ... it depends on the switch chip capabilities, and only a few recent "E" models are built on managed cores.
Finally, these are L2 swiches, not routers at all.
