ProSafe 16 Port Gig Switch GS116v2
Apologies for putting this here, but the board apparently has no dedicated forum for home switches
My trusty gig switch GS116v2 suddenly stopped responding on inputs 5-12. Not sure what to do about this, although the warranty says that its good until 2041 (or so).
When I try to go through automated support it tells me I need a support contract, which isn't true, and so I can't really move forward with even calling someone.
It also doesn't help that Netgear has no option for home switch support on the phone line. Not sure what to do about it.
If support is monitoring, can you please let me know how to proceed?

Does this happen with any ethernet connected device on these ports?
Swapped LAN cables?
What CAT# LAN cable is being used? CAT6 UTP is recommended.
Power OFF the switch for 1 minute.
Try a different power adapter?

Then clicking on "Get answers about NETGEAR products before I buy" then clicking on "Networking for Home" then "Chat with us". Does this work?
