VLAN used in combination with (un)managed switches
I have an existing network. The core components are unmanaged switches type XS508M (Switch: S1) and GS110MX (S2). To these I want to connect managed switches type GS305E (S3, S4, S5) to create 2 VLAN...

To my knowledge, there is nothing prohibiting forwarding tagged frames over these unmanaged switches. Not a promise, however.
Keep in mind the GS305E are -not- managed switches, as Plus switches, these only allow limited configurations. Last but not least: These switches config access is possible using unmanaged frames only, there is no management VLAN feature (on most Plus switch models). This is set, because you are using non-VLAN routers.
Kangaroo network?

Thanks.
I also talked to the service hotline. They said, the traffic is beeing passed through. Additionally I do not have a security issue, because the setup is used at home (I am a freelancer). Thus, it is more than sufficient to have the technical opportunity to set up VLAN regardless of any security topics (kangaroo-based intrusion detection). The advanced VLAN options of the GS305E is enough.
What's the greatest threat in this setup?
