It happened again and my whole LAN went down again.
It's unreliable and since it's a dumb switch with no configurable options there's nothing I can do to resolve this, its useless to me if it's not reliable.
I'm swapping it out and the replacement should arrive tomorrow.... this time NOT made by Netgear.

Possible you may have a faulty unit. You should make contact with NG support and ask about RMA options. Ask them about a cross shipping RMA. Well worth checking to this to see if unit is just faulty. My XS505M has been solid for past few years since getting it. All ports and the SFP are used for my needs.
