- jmizoguchiVirtuosofirmware version?
- gmaycottAspirantThe firmware on this FVS318N is 4.2.1-2, the most up to date I could find.
- BeerDrinkerAspirantI'll be interested in hearing the answer to this also. All of a sudden the log on an FVS318N is full of these messages.
Which is somewhat of a change, because the logs used to be full of this message "cmd 35143 is not SIOCDEVPRIVATE(35312)".
I'm beginning to think the logging is flaky, don't see how it can go from weeks and weeks of the cmd 35141 ... SIO messages every few seconds to the sppe_bm entires on a frequency of multiple times per second.
Router is on the same firmware at the previous poster. - BeerDrinkerAspirantUpdate. After installing the newly released firmware, I'm not getting either of the repetitive messages listed above (SIOCDEVPRIVATE or collision happen!!!).
- AlanRIIAspirantWish I could be so lucky. Running 4.3.0-19 and getting these in my logs:
May 24 09:30:09 FVS318N ROUTER KERNEL [Kernel] sppe_bm_add_ex,313: collision happen!!!
May 24 09:30:10 FVS318N last message repeated 216 times

I'm having this logs into my firewall too and it's updated with the latest firmware (4.3.0-19).
Thanks,

Hello,
same thing here!
Running 4.3.0-19 solved the "[KERNEL] cmd 35143 is not SIOCDEVPRIVATE(35312)" issues but now log is full of the "[KERNEL] sppe_bm_add_ex,313: collision happen!!!".
Thanks,
gcastano - g_castanoAspirantSame thing here!
Running 4.3.0-19 and log is full of these messages.
Log is still useless.
Thanks,
Gianfranco - dbinazAspirantI am getting the same thing 4.3.0-19
sppe_bm_add_ex,313: collision happen!!! - Daren812AspirantI was having intermittent internet or super slow internet at times. Before I upgraded the firmware version, I was getting the error message "[KERNEL] cmd 35143 is not SIOCDEVPRIVATE(35312)" issues. After updating to the latest Firmware version I started getting the error message "[KERNEL] sppe_bm_add_ex,313: collision happen!!!".
I finally found a solution to my problem and I'm crossing my fingers that this is a permanent fix. It was a DNS issue for me. My SBS2011 server handles the DNS resolution.
This link to what helped me
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ecec326a-7f34-4471-b3f4-15298587b2fc/sbs-2011-intermittently-losing-internet?forum=smallbusinessserver
I used the following in the list to try
Google 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4
DNS Advantage 156.154.70.1, 156.154.71.1
Open DNS 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220
After changing from "root hints" to DNS Forwarder I stopped the DNS server then restarted. The internet came alive, fast and no more error messages in the logs.
