FVS318G – ProSafe 8-port Gigabit VPN Firewall
Hi All,
I'm new here. I bought a FVS318G firewall which came with a VPN Client Lite license key. Now after having the firewall for more than a year i wanted to register the activate the VPN Client Lite. But I keep on getting a failure on the activation. Does anybody had this simular issue?

Hi,
I contacted the helpdesk of Netgear and the problem has been solved. The problem was that under windows 10 i had to select the windows 7 compatibility in the properties of the program. this let me install / use my license key.
So my problem has been solved. Great service from Netgear.

Let us isolate the problem. Kindly answer the questions below:
a. Did you register the VPN Client Lite license key to other PC(s) before? If yes, make sure to connect the PC (where the VPN Client Lite license key is registered) to the internet. Then, uninstall the VPN Client Lite software from that PC. After the uninstallation has completed, you may now install the VPN Client Lite software to a new PC then register the license key.
b. What is the Operating System of the PC where you trying to register the VPN Client Lite license?
If ever you have not yet tried to register the VPN Client Lite license key before and still getting the error you have described, I advise you to open an online case with NETGEAR Support and let them know about your concern for further assistance. Indicate the VPN Client license key on the online case you have opened for it to be double-checked in their database.
