FVS318G v2 Basic Setup Question

Well I've decided to send the FVS318G back and use the Gateway firewall.
The gatway is supplied by the ISP so if and when I forgo the retal fee and buy my own gateway/modem I may be right back here where I started.

Hi OldPCGuy,
Since you have no problems with your previous cable modem and the FVS318Gv2, what I am thinking is its possible that it could be a compatibility issue between the Technicolor TC8717C and the FVS318Gv2. With regard to this, I encourage you to open an online case with NETGEAR Support for further assistance.
