How do I allow multiple users to VPN in at once?
I am working with an FVS318G and have always had one user connect with the preshared key even though I do have a user account set up for him. We now have one more user that needs to connect however it wont let them both connect at the same time with the preshared key. Only one at a time. I am assuming that they need to connect via their user accounts instead but I am not sure how to set that up on the client side. They both have accounts set up in the firewall and I have xauth enabled and selected user database but I can not seem to find how to change the client software to connect using their user names and passwords instead of the preshared key.
If anyone has any suggestions on what I need to do to get them both up and running, I would really appreciate it. Also, just as a side note, we did purchase a 5 user license for the client software.
Hello kcirillo,
Welcome to the community!
When using X-auth you will still need to use the passphrase and requires additional login information for the tunnel to identify which user is accesing it.
You have to make sure that the login information are defined on the User Database, see page 139 of the documentation.
Hope it helps! If you have more questions feel free to ask.
Thanks,
