IPSec VPN client for FVS318 ProSafe
I am trying to setup a home vpn for my ocassionally trips. For the IPSec VPN client, is there any openSource software I can use with the FVS318 ProfSafe?
Thanks,
James

Hey James,
I'd recommend using the Netgear one, it's not free but stable and really easy to set up.
A free alternative is Shrewsoft VPN client, I did put together a guide for setting it up with the SRX5308.. I'm not sure how well it translates to the FVS318 since that one is really old but it might work - do give it a go and let me know if it works;

Note that GUI would be a bit different on the FVS318 but things are probably named similar anyways.

Hi Danthem,
Thank you for your help.
I think we are very close to the target now.
This is the FVS318 VPN settings. I only added Local IPSec Identifier and Remote IPSec Identifier. All others are from the VPN Wizard.
In the VPN client, only the following two are not follow your instruction: I selected the Key Identifier as the Identification Type.
Hope you can find something wrong on these settings.
Thanks,
James

In the VPN Settings, I also tried the Agressive in the Secure Association entry.
