LAN-WAN Throughput on FVS318G-100NAS vs FVS318G-200NAS

Good day,

Can anyone confirm the LAN-WAN throughput on the FVS318G-100NAS and the FVS318G-200NAS models?

I have the FVS318G-100NAS, and the box says LAN-WAN throughput of 25 Mbps.  I have upgraded my internet and can download at speeds in excess of 150 Mbps, but the 100NAS is only averaging 15 Mbps.

From the same supplier that I purchased the FVS318G-100NAS, they are showing another FVS318G with a throughput of 250 Mbps, but it does not state ###NAS so i am not sure if I would be special ordering the old one again.

I would like to confirm that the 200NAS version is capable of 250 Mbps before I confirm the specific model and order it in.

Thank you,

Jat

    Hi jatman,

    Welcome to the community! :)

FVS318Gv2 has a LAN-to-WAN Throughput of 250Mbps.  Kindly check page 3 of the data sheet here.

The product code of FVS318Gv2 in North America is FVS318G-200NAS.  Kindly check page 5 of the data sheet from the link above.

Hi, and thank you for the response.

I know what I need, but would you know if the FS318G-200NAS has the feature to filter mac addresses' unless the address is on the allow list.

Basically, I have a modem from my ISP.  that will connect to the FVS318G-200NAS which will control the entire network and what can access the internet.  I need the 200NAS to deny all mac addresses access to the internet unless it's on the safe list.  I cannot recall the filter featrue name in the 100NAS that i currently use [still at work].  I will update this post when I get home with the feature name.

      thank you,

        Hi jatman,

The FVS318Gv2 supports Source MAC Filtering.  Kindly read pages 196-198 of the FVS318Gv2 reference manual here.

  • Before buying the unit, I would see if anyone has gotten the real-world wan to lan throughput that you need.  Our FVS318Ns top out at just over 60 when they are similarly spec'd much higher (depending on which spec sheet you're reading).
