last firmware DGFV338, where ?
Hi
I currently have a DGFV338, which crash each time I send an email with large attachment.
I have updated it to the last firmware available (3.05-24 / A.00.62 ) without much improvement.
For what i read on your forum the last beta firmware (3.05-27 / A.00.64 ???) could solve some of my issues.
Where can i find these beta firmwares or newer ones ?
Thank you

- fredouilmkmAspirantI have quite many issues with this router, the hardware is probably nice but the software is hopelessly bugged, unacceptable for a router sold as "professional".Do you know if there is a custom firmware that could be installed on this device (tomato, open-wrt etc..).
it was so bugged I left it in the storeroom for years but I hope a recent beta firmware could make it usable. - jmizoguchiVirtuosobeta firmware is requested to support only.
- RoloAspirantThis thread is getting old so I'm just adding this for anyone else who is having problems.
This router/modem was working well until it suddenly started dropping the connection randomly for no reason I could see.
So I tried upgrading the firmware to 3.05-24 / A.00.62
While the main board updated OK, the DSL component failed to upgrade and has apparently trashed the daughter board.
Now I'm left with a piece of kit that wont connect to my ISP.
NETGEAR support tell me that this unit has been discontinued and can't be repaired!
I was sent another ADSL modem that's supposed to go in front this device and provide the DSL (modem) functionality. Which is hardly a suitable solution as I brought this piece of kit as an all in one network solution.
My advice is if its working at all leave well enough alone.
I'll probably end up throwing this unit in trash. If I wanted bits and pieces piled up all over the house I would have separate units in the first place and not paid over the odds for what was supposed to an integrated business class all-in-one device. - Marto731AspirantTo reply to fredouilmkm,
I work in Netgear support. I didn't hear that the last Beta works for a large email attachment instance that you refer to. But you can contact Netgear support in your country.
Rev 64 for the DSL board, is in reference to a disconnections issue with ADSL 2.
To reply to Rolo, the modem (DM111P ) allows you to connect into WAN port,
and not DSL. If you want Dual WAN, then contact Tech support, and they will advise re replacement. You may be asked for original proof of purchase, as this is a warranty condition.
For you both, there have been alot of happy customers with this device in recent years. As June has pointed out, it is under lifetime warranty. But it is end of life, and technology has progressed.

Marto,
